RCcarStars now offers RC chassis and parts dying service for those of you who want to add some color or dye your RC cars and trucks.

All nylon, polyester and acrylic parts can be dyed with outstanding results!  This includes parts that are white, yellow, green, red, grey and blue.

The key thing to understand is that we can only dye a chassis or parts "darker than its current color". For example, a yellow part can be dyed blue, green, red, purple, black, grey, etc., yet a blue part can only be dyed a darker shade of blue, dark purple or black.

We suggest if you are dying your parts, wheels or chassis any other color besides Black, send us an old part (same color part as the part you want dyed), so we can test the color you want to dye.  We will text or email you a picture before we start the final project.  

We Can Dye The Following RC Plastics

If you are interested in only dyeing chassis, parts or wheels, we can dye the following types of plastics:
  1. Nylon
  2. Glass-Filled Nylons (stiffer parts like chassis and spur gears)
  3. Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) (Polyester based plastics)

As a rule of thumb hard plastics will not take the dye,  and you can only go darker with dye colors.  So whites and grays work best for dyeing.

  • We cannot dye Polypropylene (also known under the brand names Herculon and Olefin)   Polypropylene is colored by the addition of pigments while still in liquid form, before it is extruded into a fiber.
  • We Cannot dye Delrin
  • We cannot Dye Acrylic
  • ​We Cannot Dye ABS

Pricing For Dyeing RC Parts & Chassis

  1. New Parts in bag (unused that are perfectly clean): pricing includes cleaning and dyeing one color
    1. ​Chassis: $20
    2. Parts: $20 for up to 10 parts
    3. Wheels: (Large Monster Truck Wheels) $25
    4. Wheels: 8 scale & smaller $20 (for up to 3 sets of 4 wheels)
  1. Parts you have removed from RC car or truck (that have been washed by you): pricing includes "Deep Cleaning" & dyeing one color
    1. ​Chassis: $30
    2. Parts: $25 for up to 10 parts​
  • If we have to disassemble the parts or remove the chassis please "Contact Us For A Quote", as this is a very timely process to  thoroughly  clean and disassemble the parts and chassis.
  • It should also be noted, that even deep cleaning cannot remove imperfections on used parts and chassis.  So the dye may appear darker/blotchy in some areas of the chassis or parts.
